Newborns and Babies > Interactive

These books offer the reader a chance to explore the book through sensory experiences, for example, lifting flaps, finding answers to questions, feeling different materials and exploring how the book works. Interactive books are great for helping young children become comfortable with how a book feels, moves and responding to questions.

These books are excellent for building the reading skill of prediction, by asking: what will I find? What will happen next? where could it be? Children will scan the pages and develop fine motor skills like pinching, gripping and lifting whilst responding to words like ‘lift’, ‘look’, ‘turn’, ‘try’, ‘touch’, ‘over here’ and many more. Perfect for young children’s language building even before they are speaking themselves.
